Design for Nature brings government, industry and researchers together to support nature-based solutions.
We support projects that enable healthy, resilient, biodiverse, regenerative, and more equitable places for nature (and that includes us).
Vision
A thriving and sustainable Aotearoa where iwi, communities, businesses and government agencies actively participate in the regeneration and preservation of healthy natural systems supporting nature.
Purpose
Design for Nature is established for the public benefit:
To promote nature-based solutions to achieve healthy, resilient, biodiverse, and equitable places for nature. Ensuring the provision of and enhancement of blue-green networks to help us improve our resilience to climate change and protect and enhance biodiversity.
To build and support a network of like-minded organisations, professionals, government agencies, research facilities, communities, and volunteers.
To offer educational resources and events for the relevant professions and the public in matters relating to designing for nature.
To support and facilitate the implementation of conservation, regeneration, and sustainability projects by providing technical assistance, resources, and funding opportunities.
To advocate for evidence-based policy changes and regulations that support environmental conservation, sustainable development, and responsible business practices.
